HPMC It's a kind of chemical materials, white or slight off-white granular powder, ororless. HPMC is a natural polymer materials as a raw materials, through a series of chemical processing and prepared non-ionic cellulose.
Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether obtained from cellulose after alkalinization, etherification, neutralization and washing.
HPMC for gypsum has good thickening, dispersing, emulsifying and film-forming properties, and is the first choice for producing high quality building material additives.
To meet the needs of environmental protection, our product has the characteristics of high water retention, good dispersibility, good fineness, good processability and easy dissolution. These gypsum products have a range of different functions. Gypsum and associated fillers play a role. In addition, the key issue is that the addition of cellulose ether additives plays a dominant role. Since gypsum can be divided into hard gypsum and hemihydrate gypsum, different types of gypsum have different effects on the performance of the products, so the properties such as thickening, water retention and retarding determine the quality of gypsum building materials.
The common problem of these materials is hollow cracks and failure to reach the initial strength. To solve this problem, there is an option to use a compound of cellulose model and retarder. For this, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose 30,000-60,000 cps is generally used, with an addition of 1.5%-2%. Among them, cellulose plays the main role of water retention, retardation and lubrication. However, in this process, cellulose ether alone as a retarder does not achieve the effect, mixed with citric acid retarder will not affect the initial strength.
